2280 St. Isidore rd.
St. Isidore, Ontario Canada, K0C 2B0
About the property:
The private and quiet property is 6.36 acres, and the whole property is fenced in with a gate at the driveway (so pets can roam free). Fully lined with mature trees so you can’t see any neighbours, though there are no immediate neighbours to the left, right, or behind… just fields. The property is peppered with mixed trees for a park-like setting at the rear, and an arched tree-lined driveway with stacked stone gate.
It has the most secure designer chicken coop with own water collection and filtration system, so there’s always water on tap.
There’s a chain link fenced in smaller portion hidden off the main back terrace, so if you have dogs, you can let them out to the bathroom without worrying about them chasing evening critters. There is a pond that can be seen from the living room/dining room, which gets ducks and herons that can be seen while eating or relaxing.
The property is naturally divided in half by a tree line, with a clearing at the front of the other side which is perfect for an additional building/ garage/studio/living space. We started the process of having a three car garage with house above, so the paperwork is already approved for the build should you like to expand there. Whether it’s for personal use, family, guests, or to rent for income property- there is full privacy as the trees separate the two sites. There is an easily accessible but hidden gazebo tucked in the trees that’s used for storage of plow and mower which come with the house..

Our Story
We are two artists who were looking for a larger space for our creative careers. We fell in love with the park-like property of 2280 St. Isidore, and the full privacy and quiet. The house had left much to be desired though, so we stripped it all down and completely remodelled the home in a way it did not look like a contemporary renovation, and instead did careful treatments such as plaster and lime wash walls, to have an old-world feel. We are advocates of the wabi-sabi philosophy and that can be seen in various elements of the home, where the sleek sterile perfect, has been thrown to the side in favour of the imperfect, dimensional, and textured. As two artists taking on this project, we've incorporated several of our creations into the home itself, from the sinks, to the fire surround, to the walls themselves. We even opted to utilize other hand-made artisanal pieces or refurbished antiques wherever possible, over new, to give a very distinct atmosphere.
This was a home built from passion, creativity and love, and we hope whomever inhabits her next, will feel that energy and love it as much as we have.
